Since my blog has basically become a food blog, I might as well make an actual blog post. So today I decided to clean out my fridge to make room for next week’s groceries, so I basically used up any leftover produce I had on hand to make breakfast, lunch, and dinner (this is what I do at home). I found out that sandwiches and stews are the BEST way to use up any leftovers, so that’s exactly what I made.
Breakfast: waffle with vanilla ice cream, strawberries, and honey (used up all my eggs, strawberries, and honey)
Lunch: grilled cheese sandwich (leftover italian bread, cheddar and provolone, as well as a half can of tomato soup)
Dinner: summery corn chowder (corn on the cob from last night’s dinner, zucchini, red bell pepper, potato, onion, veggie stock, milk, bay leaves, nutmeg, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper to taste - basically just eyeballed everything and threw it into a pot)
